Oscar Arriola - Born and raised in Chicago, Oscar Arriola is a photographer, curator, and one of the most regarded leaders in the city's DIY art scene. His photo and installation work has been exhibited at the Chicago Cultural Center, Co-Prosperity Sphere, Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, Elephant Room Gallery, Galerie F, and Reed Space NYC. He is the co-organizer of ZINEmercado zine fest and the producer of FOTOmercado, an all photography zine, book, and print fest. He curated the recent Akito Tsuda – Pilsen Days, photo exhibition for the Chicago Public Library and, with Nicole Marroquin, curated, Diana Solis: Encuentros, Photographs of Chicago Poetry Communities, 1978 – 1994 for the Poetry Foundation.
