We won’t make you jump through hoops to apply to participate in the 2027 SBLF. While we’d love to hear your ideas for a panel, we will also be fitting authors into panels we are currently forming.

We ask our authors to vigorously promote across your socials. We found the best attended workshops and panels were those that the authors ruthlessly promoted.

The other thing we ask is that you not participate in any book events/signings etc. two weeks prior and two weeks after our festival within the Santa Barbara County. As a small non-profit we ask for this brief window of exclusivity so that we can give our authors and our local bookseller, and festival programming the best chance to thrive.
